Up to Data Recovery F.A.Q.

Additional Services: CD/DVD burning, hard drive cloning, FTP transfer

If it is determined that your drive cannot be repaired or we cannot recover all the data, we can return your recovered data in a variety of ways, including copying it to a new hard drive, writeable CD-R or DVD-R.

CD Burning $15.00 US for each 700MB CD
DVD Burning $35.00 US for each 4.7 GB DVD-R
Copy Data to spare drive (if availible) FREE
Hard drive Cloning $100.00 US plus the cost of the replacement drive
Placing Data on FTP : Up to 50 MB FREE
Placing Data on FTP : Up to 1 Gb $100.00 US for one day FTP access, 400MB download limit.

We highly recommend hard drive cloning. This will preserve your operating system, the system configuration, available software and recovered data. Your computer will boot right after you install a clone and start the system. Please be aware that there are instances when the cloned drive does not boot due to damage to the system area. However, all recovered files and folders should be readable when you connect this drive as a second drive into the system.

We will keep a copy of your data for one week to ensure the successful re-installation of your data. Once your data is re-installed, your data will be deleted from our storage media.

From Customer's order

Unhappily, I overrode a warning dialogue box when I recently installed an upgrade to Norton Utilities. The warning said a macro related to a DLL file was corrupted. I tried several time to quarantine the macro, but the warning was still there the next times I tried to install the upgrade, so finally I took a chance and overrode the warning. Windows XP worked for a while after that, then failed. Now I get a white-on-black screen which announces that Windows has shut down to protect the files on the HD and gives me several re-start choices, but none gets XP working again. All of them just cause a re-boot, which brings up the same white-on-black screen again.

After recovery:

Wow, amazing response time. Thanks!
